Get Focused Today (and mind map the rest)

Keep Your Eyes on the Road

When people ask me how do I meet my goals despite facing difficult times, I simply answer that it’s ‘’FOCUS’’. We face unfair circumstances and if our eyes are too easy to get attracted to the wrong turns, we cannot reach our desired destination. Here are 3 things I am practicing for years which I hope would help you:

Develop the right mix of attitude. Any task isn’t hard if you have the right heart for achieving your goals. Don’t feel awkward about changing for the better. See how you can increase the percentage of productivity by applying the suitable color of traits in all you do. In his book, ‘’Great Attitudes’, author Charles R. Swindoll said, ‘’I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it‘’. No matter how great or small your goals are, your attitude determines the finish line.

Take no chances on negativity. It only feeds your mind discouragement and misleads you out of track. Don’t confuse this with criticisms. Objective criticisms, however, challenge you to improve when pondered correctly, so keep the positive up! When you do that, you will not only discover that it attracts the good vibes for the day but also creates a cheerful environment in the house, workplace or relationships. Happiness is not a dream, but a group of positive choices you make everyday.

Don’t stop moving. The past may move on with you but you can choose to dwell on the present. Learn the art of managing your time wisely to carry out your priorities. You may fail and mess up in the middle but get up and keep going.  We live in the world of rush but remember, you can slow it down. While you keep your eyes on your targets, spend time to learn new things along the way. Improve on your failures, appreciate small accomplishments, and celebrate life.

Lastly, try mind mapping for free. Put some creativity and colors while you plan and practice Prov. 3:6. Whatever your goals are, organizing your mind helps you maximize your day and making it count.

How do you get focused? What are your experiences about achieving your goals?
